Xuechen Li received his Ph.D. (2006) from Harvard University under the direction of Professor Daniel Kahne. After a post-doc with Professor Samuel Danishefsky at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/Columbia University, New York (2007-2009), he joined The University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to the Chair Professor in 2025. He is Morningside Endowed Professor in Chemical Biology. His research interests include exploring new methods for protein chemical synthesis and native protein bioconjugation, and chemical glycobiology.
